Welcome to the American Veteran's Foundation known as The My GI Foundation. After ten years of aid for veterans, active military, reservists, retired veterans, disabled veterans, and their families, My GI forges ahead in 2026. My GI was fortunate to be a fiscal sponsorship of the Military Officers Association of America and the Wounded Warriors Family Support Foundation prior to becoming a successful 501 (c)(3). The financial help and mentoring helped allowed My GI to flourish into a well-known Cincinnati organization military personnel can trust and seek assistance from. The My GI foundation was started by a patriotic fourteen-year-old and now this highly decorated leader is a twenty-six-year-old Citadel Cum Laude graduate now serving in the10th Mountain Division as a young Captain. To all those who have served in the United States military and their families who have inspired the My GI Foundation, THANK YOU!
My GI Mission Statement
The purpose of the My GI Foundation is to provide veterans, active duty military, reservists, and their families with compassionate personal assistance for important or urgent issues in everyday areas of their lives, both financially and personally. Their needs become our needs.
Any and all donations to The My GI Foundation are always appreciated and liquidated just as fast. We work closely with veterans and their families in fiscal crisis, within the Cincinnati veteran community on necessary and rewarding projects, and continue to improve our veteran services each day by working with our successful corporate partners and well-wishers we meet most days of the week. 95% of all donations go back to the veteran community. Currently, we are in need of both personal and corporate donations for projects and requests we need to honor in 2026 and 2027. The My GI Foundation is a proud high-achieving philanthropy. We have placed Combat Wounded Parking Signs in every school or school district in the Cincinnati area who has asked for one as well as patriotic businesses or organizations. In 2026, we started a standing monthly donation to the Disabled American Veteran's organization, as our first four-figure donation was in 2014 and the DAV was the beneficiary.
Most of the veterans who benefit financially or otherwise from the My GI Foundation prefer to keep our philanthropic business private and such a request is always honored. They have wonderful stories you would appreciate, but their privacy needs are valued by My GI.
We have some interesting examples of service under My GI News & Events, but it is a small & select sample.
