As the CEO of My GI, which I started at fourteen, and run as a nineteen-year-old Citadel cadet I would like to thank you for purchasing raffle tickets or sending donations for Operation G.I. Jane. In December, The My GI Foundation and the Loveland High School National Honor Society guided by Jen Dell ran a fundraiser called Operation Winter Weather and earned $7,190 for homeless veterans. I hope I have thanked her enough. Recently, we partnered with the Loveland Student Council guided by Kelly Partridge for a spring project, known as Operation G.I. Jane. I believe if you spend significant time on my website, you will become motivated to aid me in helping our female veterans.
The female heroes in our military are a climbing statistic in the average twenty-two suicides per day by our military forces and female services to aid them with the issues of being part of said statistic are lacking, especially when considering our wonderful ladies differences next to our gentlemen. Both genders have much to offer in defense of our country and the American way of life. I will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army, after graduating from The Citadel, and all those in my charge will be treated with consistency and given any resources I can provide.
Operation G.I. Jane is a raffle with $2.00 tickets and will continue until April 27th, 2018. There will be seventy-two $25.00 gift cards drawn; multiple cash awards of $100 (2) $50.00 (2) $25 (3). You can go directly to www.mygivets.com and click the yellow donation button with a minimum of five tickets for $10.00 and we will mail them to you. You can also buy them from our Student Council members or Mr. Thomas or Mrs. Partridge. Prizes now total exactly $2,000 with more to come. We are partnered with Dewey's Pizza, Eddie Merlots, Outback Steakhouse, Brick Oven Pizza, Subway, Carrabbas, Donatos, Tano's, Chipotle, The Original Pancake House, Abuelo's, Chicken Slims, Bravo, Xpress Theatre Group, Amazon, McDonald's, Butterbees, RP Diamond, Tender Towne, Buckeye Running, Climb Time, Mike's Carwash, Skyline, Nada's, Raising Canes, Fricker's, Target, Graeters, Panera, Full Throttle Indoor Karting, Jarvis Global Investments, and the generosity seems endless.
My mission is to become the best son, grandson, teammate, friend, philanthropist, advocate, soldier, leader, and young man I can become. I try to use different fundraisers and events to attract a variety of donors to My GI. I promise this venture is of utmost importance to The My GI Foundation and the female military who defend our county.
My extremely intelligent and hard-working sister; Kirstin Thomas is our Director of Female Veteran Services. She has hundreds of hours of philanthropic work after starting as an intern, to associate, and presently Director of Female Veteran Services.
Senator Joe Uecker took me to lunch when I was fourteen to discuss high level military service and a career in government service. He is a regular speaker at My GI Foundation banquets and is always ready to lend a hand to support my philanthropy and service to veterans. He has represented the 14th District since 2013 as a Republican member of the Ohio Senate.
